The story of Raa Elites SACCO began when a group of alumni from a local school came together to raise funds for one of their own who was hospitalized at Kenyatta National Hospital with an overwhelming medical bill. The members managed to raise KES 350,000, which covered the hospital bill and provided school fees support for the man's children. Although he sadly passed away, this act of solidarity ignited a bigger vision—one that would later evolve into a fully-fledged SACCO.

“We decided to start a group where we would contribute KES 2,000 monthly and share the money among ourselves,” says John Nyaga, CEO of Raa Elites SACCO. “As more people joined, we realized the potential of forming a SACCO that could serve an even greater purpose.”

“We appreciate Raa Elites SACCO for their support,” says Seaton. “Beyond the sports equipment, the financial education sessions have opened our eyes to the importance of savings and investment.”
